Jaclyn & Jimmy, Part II

February 24, 2010

Jaclyn and Jimmy got married on February 6, right smack dab in the middle of the second snowstorm to hit Philadelphia in 1 week!  We woke up ready to act like the US Postal Service – snow, rain or sleet was not going to keep us away (ironically, our mail delivery was canceled that day).  Leaving ourselves plenty of extra time, we packed up our snow boots, extra socks, gear and snacks and hit the road.  Here’s what we saw on our way to the Hampton Inn in Newtown:

We made it in one piece and with time to spare, and quickly realized that NOTHING was going to get these guys down!  They are so in love, the snow only made it more memorable and gave Jaclyn the snow pictures she was hoping so hard for all year!  Her bridesmaids wore a selection of navy blue dresses and silver shoes, and they carried a simple, elegant bouquet of calla lilies.  Jaclyn worked the blue into her own apparel by rocking some totally awesome shoes from Zigi SoHo (one of my favorite shoe stores from NYC!).  Jimmy looked so handsome in his tux, somewhat similar to none other than James Bond, and carried a very cool pocket-watch all day.  Their ceremony took place at the Newtown Community Church, a sweet little church right up the road from the hotel.  After wrapping up family shots, we had plenty of time to get creative in the church and shoot some bridal party and some portraits of the two of them.  We knew that we were not going to be able to shoot outside much (not unless we wanted to shovel a path for ourselves) so we challenged ourselves and ended up with some really cool and unique stuff.  The reception took place at Northampton Valley Country Club.  Jaclyn was certainly prepared for the snow, she donned her gorgeous white snow cape and her snow boots and we headed outside to get some more portraits with the beautiful snow as a backdrop.  Martin’s Video was there capturing the events of the day, and DJ’s Available kept the music pumping.  Carina Slater from Remember This Day did a gorgeous job with their menu cards, and Marc Anthony was there rocking his photobooth for the guests.  Jaclyn and Jimmy, your wedding day was one for the record books!  Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it, it was truly wonderful.

I’m LOVING these shots that John got of Jimmy and the guys!

And now for the ladies!

Jaclyn is an Etsy queen!  Her hair comb and this awesome hanger both came from vendors on that site.

Cindy Singer from Dylan Michael Cosmetics did a great job on Jaclyn and the rest of the girls.

Who wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle to a smile this wide?

Love the ultra wide angle shot of them in the snow-covered road in front of the venue. One of those timeless photographs that could have been taken in 1910 or 2010. Very nice!
