Details, details, details! That’s the word I would use to sum up Alicia & Frank’s amazing wedding day at The Inn at Fernbrook Farms– along with breathtaking, original and AWESOME! To top it all off, every detail came through Alicia’s hand…she did EVERYTHING herself, from hunting down what seemed like hundreds of milk-glass vases, to meticulously writing every guests name on the panes of an antique door, to making ribbons out of tape and wrapping them around the drink straws for the bar. I was excited to see it all come together, but could never have imagined how amazing it would be. Not to mention the wedding and reception itself – full of smiles and laughs and tears of joy. Frank’s not a big fan of photos, but he was a great sport and did everything we asked him to. When I said good-bye at the end of the night, he told me it was the “most fun I ever had getting my picture taken.” I think that is one of the best compliments I have ever gotten from a client! Alicia & Frank, I hope that you had a great day and an amazing honeymoon. Thanks for letting us share your day! And, once again, thanks to Laura Briglia for an awesome job second-shooting.
Lora & Bill had a beautiful wedding last week in the still peaceful shore town of Point Pleasant Beach. Point Pleasant is a big deal to these guys…we even did their engagement photos here…and I love shooting at the shore, especially before the summer crowds come in! As seems to be the case this year, we were very lucky with the weather…the sun made its appearance just as I pulled into the driveway at the house where the girls were getting ready and the rain stayed away until it was time for the reception to end! PHEW! After a fantastic ceremony and some beach photo fun, we all headed over to The Mill at Spring Lake Heights for dinner and dancing the night away. I’ve had such a great time getting to know these two over the past year or so, and it always amazes me how quickly a wedding day comes and goes – I look forward to staying in touch with them and seeing their lives grow together! Congratulations! Special thanks to Laura Briglia for shooting with me and doing an amazing job!
Chrissy, Bill and I had quite an adventure around Philadelphia one Sunday not so long ago. I picked them up in Springfield and they took me the back way into the city so that we could stop at some really cool murals that they had spotted. There were so many great ones to choose from! Then we headed down to Race Street Pier, one of my favorite new spots on the city, for some late afternoon shooting. With mouths watering, we headed up to Franklin Square Park for a carousel ride and a delicious burger and shake combination from Square Burger…ALAS! It closed 5 minutes before we got there, and all of Bill’s pleading didn’t get us anywhere with the staff…sigh. After the carousel ride, we were on a mission to find food…and ended up at National Mechanics for a quick bite while we waited for the sun to set so that we could head BACK to Race Street. It was super fun bumming around with these two, and I can’t wait for their wedding day in just about 1 year from today.
There was a whole lot of “real” stuff happening at Jacky & Eric’s wedding, which made my job super easy and super fun! I didn’t have to do a lot of posing with these two; we mostly just let the day take them by storm. There was a lot of love flying around between these two, their families and their friends. Everyone was so happy for them, and they glowed the entire day. Their ceremony and reception took place at the Rivercrest Golf Club in Phoenixville, which meant that we are now two-for-two with First Looks this year! Theirs was pretty special, and one of my favorite photos from the day is the one below of Jackie squeezing Eric tight with a huge smile on her face. They were definitely glad to see each other! The rest of the day was smooooth sailing. From watergun fights to the milkshake bar, everyone had a great time at the reception. Back2Life kept the crowd moving with their awesome talent, and the staff at Rivercrest did an amazing job.
I also have to give props to Jacky and her mom for planning this wedding in 5 MONTHS! Yup, you heard that right…they pulled off an AMAZING wedding day in 5 months…great job, ladies!
Thanks for letting Laura and I share your day with you, guys! Congratulations!
Well, Jessica and Jerry’s wedding has been a long time coming – we first sat down together about a year and a half ago to talk about their upcoming celebration at the beautiful Elkins Estate. These two have had a lot going on in the mean time! Their second daughter was born just 1 month ago, and Jessica is looking and feeling pretty darn fabulous…between an almost two-year-old , a new baby and planning a wedding, life is moving pretty fast! I was happy to help them slow down a little and enjoy some alone time during our shoot in the Valley Green section of Fairmount Park. They even enjoyed a lovely, probably very quiet, lunch at the Valley Green Inn once we finished. I’ll be seeing them again in just about a month – I can’t wait!
What a way to start the season! I couldn’t have asked for a more fabulous, fun and in love couple…these two were smiling from ear to ear all day long. Kathy had one of the most relaxed prep sessions at the Four Seasons, and when she was all dressed and ready to go we headed down to the Azalea Garden behind the Art Museum for her First Look with Mikhail. Have I mentioned that I LOVE IT when a couple agrees to do a First Look? Well, I do! Ask me why, I’ll tell you. It was pretty perfect, full of smiles and tears and hugs and kisses…and beautiful azaleas that just so happened to be the same pink that they chose for their wedding colors. Their ceremony and reception took place at the Water Works Restaurant, and as they said “I do” and sealed it with a kiss the sun just peeked below the roof of the veranda for some delicious flare. Then it was off to party, where the Water Works staff (especially Heather and Sophia, who were with Kathy & Mikhail all day) did an amazing job taking care of all the details and the Boilermaker Jazz Band had everyone twisting and shaking. The rain was kind enough to wait until everyone was safely inside to make its appearance, and for that we are all grateful! Congratulations, Kathy and Mikhail! Special thanks to Laura Briglia for an awesome second shooting job well done…
Thanks, Laura…for this shot of Mikhail WORKING IT!
