I met up with Jaclyn and Jimmy at Tyler State Park for a Mini-Session early last week. This is the very spot where they got engaged (we even found the same field!), so it was really nice to go back there with them. They will be tying the knot in February, and I can’t wait to celebrate with them!

Jessica and Dan are getting married up this way in PA, but live in Baltimore so I was happy to go down there and bum around with them for an afternoon late in October. They were terrific tour guides, and Baltimore is a super fun city! They met playing kickball…so of course we needed to include that! Thanks guys, it was fun!

Ceremony: St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
Reception: Adelphia’s
Videographer: Ken Stillman Video
DJ: Dance Party DJ’s
Last week, I met up with Ellie and Dan at the beautiful Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown, NJ. It was such a gorgeous day, a gorgeous place and OBVIOUSLY a gorgeous couple! They brought some props along, including their Italian playing cards and their Nintendo gamers…that always adds some fun into a shoot! They will be celebrating their wedding next year at the Merion and I can’t wait!

Ashley and Chas celebrated their wedding this past Saturday, and it was such a fun-filled, fall-themed day! Ashley has so many fantastic details throughout the day.

“As the trees burst into color, and the autumn season arrives, we pledge our faith, our love, our lives”

I couldn’t believe that we did their engagement session a year ago, but it worked out so well since they got a gorgeous fall foliage photo to use in their signature frame! John and I started the day at Ashley & Chas’s parents’ homes as they both got ready for the big day. Karen Capcino and Kelly did a terrific job on all the girls, and Chas bought all the guys Phillies hats to don all day.

Then we were off to the church for a lovely ceremony, I loved the little flower girl and ring bearers. They were all up in the action! Ashley’s dad made my heart melt when he described the meaning behind this beautiful charm bracelet that he got for Ashley. John got some great shots of him giving it to her right before they walked down the aisle.

After some photos at the church we were off to gorgeous Pine Hill Golf Club, where we bombed around taking more photos before cocktail hour ended. It was a beautiful day despite the rain! DJ’s Steve and Company were terrific, getting everyone out of their seats and onto the dance floor for all sorts of fun. At one point, it was a total sombrero feeding frenzy! Chas is a baseball superstar, so his mom surprised him with this awesome Team Grabowski groom’s cake. So sweet! PLUS we were so happy to spend the day (again) with the awesome Steve Williams from Persempre Video. You can see the teaser he made for Ashley and Chas here.

Thanks so much, you two! Have a fabulous honeymoon!!!
Alicia and Brenton live far, far away in Texas, but they grew up in PA so they returned to tie the knot this past weekend. I was so excited to work with them both, and despite the rain we had a terrific day together! Alicia even went out and bought some fabulous galoshes to splash around outside with. We started the day getting ready at the City Line Hilton, and then it was off to the Merion Tribute House for their ceremony and reception. The venue was amazing, with so many terrific photo opportunities. It’s got a great medieval feel to it, so much cool texture and plenty of variety. Carina Slater and her assistant from Remember This Day made sure that the day went off without a hitch and Williamson Catering dished out a delicious dinner. Thanks for a wonderful day, Alicia and Brent! You guys are awesome.
Alicia is Quaker, so as part of their ceremony they and their parents signed this beautiful handcrafted marriage certificate. Then, at the reception, it was out for the rest of the guests to sign as witness to their union. It was so beautiful!

Alicia and Brent decided to see each other before the ceremony. I thought it was so cute when she came up behind him and covered his eyes! Guess who!

I love this shot that John got of the ceremony.

More great dancing shots by John!

October is a fabulous month – there are so many exciting things happening! It’s gotten off to a great start, first with Erin & Dan’s wedding and then with Christina & Jon-Erik’s tour of Philadelphia engagement session! We had originally planned to do their shoot in the Poconos, but when our chairlift riding, foliage spotting dreams couldn’t come true, we opted for a nitty gritty Philadelphia shoot. We started on South Street, worked our way down to the water and then hit up some landmarks, including City Hall and the new gazebos behind the art museum. I think we got a little bit of everything in here, and I look forward to their wedding next November! Thanks, guys!

Erin and Dan had a beautiful ceremony and celebration at the Chester Valley Golf Club this past weekend. I started the day with Erin and her ladies at the Desmond Hotel, and then I was off to the club to meet up with the gentlemen. The bridesmaids wore a lovely shade of pewter and the groomsmen were dashing in their suits. Dan had everyone laughing all through the ceremony, and I had the most fun with both of them on their photoshoot. Erin and Dan have been in each other’s lives for a long time, so there was a lotta love floatin’ around in that room all night long. Everyone knew one another, there were mini-reunions taking place all over, and everyone was ready for a good time! Groove Place kept the crowd bumpin’ on the dance floor and the staff at Chester Valley did a terrific job taking care of all the guests. Thanks, Erin and Dan! I had a blast.

Love these little ladies with their hair in rollers! And I just want to squeeze this face!

Kate and Jeff tied the knot at the Valleybrook Country Club this past weekend. I am such a sucker for fall, and it was so pretty to see beautiful, bright mums (done by the fabulous Flowers By Design) working with the chocolate brown that they had going through the whole day. While John wasn’t with me on this one, I did get to hang out with Christy from Martin’s Video! The ceremony took place outside, and as the guests moved in to enjoy cocktail hour we bombed around the site for our photoshoot. I loved the images from Kate & Jeff’s engagement session last fall, and I just knew that they would get some great shots together at Valleybrook. They have such a quiet way about them, it’s very peaceful and relaxing to be around. And then Jeff goes and pulls out the CRAZIEST garter retrieval I’ve ever seen! Woo hooo! Thanks, guys! I had a blast.

Kate showed up to the ceremony in style – cruising in a golf cart!

Check out Jeff, rockin’ and rollin’! And Sibling photo SUCCESS!!!

I have one spot left in the October 7 session and just opened up November 3. These are the last 2 Sassy sessions until next year, so please let me know if you are interested ASAP! Thanks!
